"My Little Pony", no matter what generation, even G4/"Friendship is Magic", has always been for little girls. And bashing the past generations (especially G3-G3.5) for being apparently not action-filled enough, too boring, too girly, too UGLY will only make you look stupid. Hating the previous generations is COMPLETELY ALRIGHT, but actually EXPRESSING your hatred towards them for the named reasons isn't. Saying "KILL IT WITH FRIENDSHIP", "WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS SHIT", "G3 RAINBOW DASH IS RETARDED, G4 FTW" and other stuff like that is dumb. You don't have to love, but at least try to tolerate! If you don't like past generations, why do you even bother posting negative comments on pictures and videos from/dedicated to them? Have some respect to those for who still enjoy the old "My Little Pony"!

EDIT: thank you for the comments, both positive and negative (:stare:), but I'm no longer willing to talk on this subject.

EDIT 2: I don't agree with this stamp as much as I used to.

One of the reasons I dislike it is that the ponies tend to all look like recolors of each other, and many are. They're interchangeable at some points, and that's just wasteful of the amazing Cutie Mark designs and great colors. Even G4 with the recycling models still have variety to them, and they're background characters. As in filler. When your main cast all look so similar, you've probably gone wrong. That's a problem with G1 as well, but the rest of it is much more interesting, and the introductions of Seaponies and twinkle eye ponies gives them diversity. At least G3.5 gave them unique haircuts, I suppose.
The voice acting grates on my ears and isn't very convincing, and the G3.5 babies were not only voiced even worse, but both unsettling in appearance and animated extremely poorly to a ridiculous extent. Cheaply produced and creepy.
The story... There isn't one. I mean, we don't learn nearly as much about the G3 world at all compared to G1, which had massive adventures and new locations all the time, and was girly without removing compelling action. The G3 had very little action and generally took place in one spot with basic plots.
The characters are far, far more one note and are flat characters with no lasting character arcs.
The girly stuff isn't important, it's that it just is mediocre as a children's cartoon. Even compared to equally girly series, they don't work as well. Hell, the Barbie magic movies are better and infinitely more creative, as are the PowerPuff Girls, and many others.
